An AGoT doll or not?

This place is great! Finally people who share the same love of AG dolls. I am 19 and have always felt bashful of my love of dolls and I used to think I was too old to play with them, but I am glad to see a variety of people with the same love!
Anyway, I have always perfered the historical line of dolls but recently have debated whether or not to purchase an AGoT doll. I was think of getting the brown haired, blue eyed doll with no bangs. But here's the catch, I wanted her to also be from the 1930's like Kit, I love the Great Gasby era! Her name would be Jane Hart, that's not my real name by the way, it's a fictional character that was the protagonist of a series of short stories that I have and am currently writing. What do you all think?

Jane, I did that - I bought an AGT who doubles as Samantha. [img]smile.gif[/img] I forget what made up my mind. I don't know if it was a modern outfit or accessory but I just had to have an AGT doll that could comfortably use all the cute AGT stuff. Since I had not yet bought Samantha, the choice was easy; I bought AGT16 who has brown hair and brown eyes like Samantha.

My grandmother loved Victorian style and it showed up in all the miniatures she made. I named my AGT Laura in tribute to my beloved Grandma (who had brown hair and warm brown eyes) and it makes me feel closer to her. I still miss her and it's been 15 years since she passed away. She would have possitively loved some of the AGT items and she also would have loved Samantha. So in getting AGT16, I am able to bring the two eras together. It's all good. [img]smile.gif[/img]

I don't think I could have bought a Samantha and made her modern though. But it seems quite natural to buy a Today doll and let her go back in history.

Let us know if you get a doll of today. The name Jane Hart sounds perfect for a girl from Kit's era!

I have one AGoT right now, #24, the dark blond hair, brown eyes, no bangs. Her name is Katrina. I am also planning to get a #2 and transform her into a Creole girl from 1804. I will have to rewig her, but I don't mind. She's perfect for the role.
